Tokyo Boeki is a pioneer in exporting Japanese steel sheets and
coils for use in automobiles. In 1963, we started to supply Japanese
steel sheets and coils
to the Ford Motor Company of Australia Ltd. Tokyo Boeki helped to create history
as this export was Japan's first experience of exporting automotive steel to
an overseas customer. Since then, we have been continuously supplying steel
to Ford, giving us over 40 years experience in the Australian automotive
industry.
In addition to Ford, Tokyo Boeki has been supplying Aluminised and
Stainless Steels to Tenneco – a specialist automotive component supplier
who produces muffler and suspension systems in South Australia. This relationship
began in 1986.
Manfacturing
Beside automotive steel for Ford, Tokyo Boeki can supply various
types of steel products including carbon steel, coated steel, stainless steel,
electrical steel
and other special steels on a Free Into Store basis. Our services are supplied
to industries like construction, home appliance, agricultue and mining.
In
addition to steel products, we supply quality Aluminium metal and Titanium
metal produced in Japan.
Our service covers the full extent of the
supply chain allowing us to tailor a supply package best suited
to the end customer.

STEEL
We have a wide range of steels which we offer with full technical service.
Our steels come from Japanese steel mills, mainly Nippon Steel Corporation
and JFE Steel Corporation. The Tokyo Boeki group has more than 50 years
experience in the global steel industry. Tokyo Boeki (Australia) has
also 40 years experience in the Australian steel industry.
Nippon Steel
Nippon Steel is the biggest steel mill in Japan. They are
also one of the top steel mills in the world. Their annual production
of crude steel
is about 33 million tonnes. Nippon Steel has 8 blast furnaces in operation,
and 7 integrated steel works. Annual sales exceed AUD$34 billion.
JFE
Steel
JFE Steel is the consolidated company of former Japanese major
steel mills, Kawasaki Steel and NKK, and commencing in April 2003.
JFE's annual crude steel production is 26 million tonnes.
